Welcome to Corralitos!

Celeste grew up here, and Matt and Celeste spend Christmas here every year. It’s a small, rural agricultural town. On your way to the venue, which is Celeste’s parents’ house (thanks Mom and Dad!), you’ll pass farms and apple orchards. A few things to note:

  • Cell Service - As said above, Corralitos is rural. Cell service is very spotty, and Uber service from the venue is unreliable. While there is Wifi at the venue, it is very slow, and probably won’t be very usable with all of our guests on it. Download any maps or directions ahead of time so you don’t get lost. We’ve found that AT&T has some coverage, but T-Mobile has none.

  • Roads - The roads are… not great. There are potholes and bumps. Animals dart out. There is little lighting. By no means do you need four-wheel drive or anything, but just know you might have to drive carefully and slowly sometimes.

  • Weather - While we will have some heat lamps out, and a few areas indoors if you get too chilly, the majority of the wedding is outside. Bring a jacket! When the event starts, it could be as warm as 70 degrees (but most likely will be in the 60s), and as the event goes on into the evening, it can drop into the 40s. If you know you get cold easily, bring layers.

  • Terrain - While portions of the venue are paved, the ceremony will be on a lawn, and multiple areas of the property are unpaved. There’s also a small set of steps or a small slope to go up for the food and drinks. Please wear comfortable shoes!

  • Animals - With the amount of people and noise we’ll have, I doubt many, if any, wild animals will be present, but it is possible that we could be joined by turkeys, squirrels, coyotes, deer, foxes, or frogs. There are also horses and dogs on the property. If you or your child want to pet a horse or give them a carrot, just let us know! They’re very nice.

  • Childcare - During the ceremony and the following toasts and speeches, the wedding is just for adults and children above the age of 10. We will have onsite child care for your younger kiddos during this time! It should only be about an hour to an hour and a half at the maximum. After this, we’ll start the reception, which we’ll be glad to see kids at! We’ll have kid-friendly foods and drinks (pizza and apple cider) and some activities, like ping pong, a visit with the horses, and more TBD.

  • Allergies - If you know you’re allergic to dogs, horses, hay, plants, grass, and/or springtime pollen, please take some allergy medicine for the wedding! We’d hate for you to be uncomfortable. We’ll have a limited amount of Claritin available just in case.

  • Directions - I only use Google Maps, which properly gets you to the venue, but I’ve been told possibly Apple Maps cannot correctly get you to the venue. Please use Google Maps! Or, if you really really really want to use Apple Maps, or you’re already lost, here’s some info:

    • Usually directions are fine to get you to Merk Road. That’s the one that’s not in great shape. Eventually on Merk Road, you’ll pass a pond on your left and then later a farm on your right. Keep going. You’ll see a dark square mailbox on your right, and you’ll want to turn onto that road, Greywood Chase. You’ll see a stone and wood gate, which will be open. Go through it and up the hill! At the fork, turn left (towards Haselton on the sign) and keep going. Yay, you made it!

Now we’ve prepared you for any potentially bad thing and possibly even scared you! But it really is a lovely place and we’ll have a great time. If you have any questions about anything here, or anything we didn’t cover, feel free to submit them in your R.S.V.P. or text Celeste at (831) 535-8721.
